Shruti Haasan (Tamil: ஸ்ருதி ஹாசன் ; Hindi: श्रुती हासन) is an Indian actress, singer and music composer who has worked in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. Her parents are noted actors, Kamal Haasan and Sarika. As a child artiste, she sang in films and appeared in a guest role, before making her adult acting debut in the 2009 action drama, Luck. She has won acclaim for her role in the Walt Disney fantasy film, Anaganaga O Dheerudu. She is currently filming for several projects including A. R. Murugadoss's 7aam Arivu alongside Suriya.

She has also continued her stint in music through work as a singer in regional Indian languages, a career in music direction beginning with her father's production Unnaipol Oruvan and her own music band and album.

Starring Suriya, in double roles, and Shruthi Haasan, the film, being produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, began production in May 2010. The story is said to revolve around a "super machine", which is brought to India. The film will be also dubbed and released in Telugu and Hindi. The film, made on a budget of 84 crore (US$18.73 million), is the most expensive film in Suriya's career till date.

Suriya (Tamil: சூர்யா; born 23 July 1975 as Saravanan Sivakumar) is an Indian film actor. He starred in Tamil films, such as Nandha (2001), Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Pithamagan (2003), Perazhagan (2004), Ghajini (2005), Vel (2007), Vaaranam Aayiram (2008), Ayan (2009) and Singam (2010). He made his Bollywood debut in Ram Gopal Varma's Rakht Charitra (2010). As of 2010, he has won three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards. He established himself as one of the leading contemporary actors in the Tamil film industry.

Chennai's movie buffs seem to have been gripped by Diwali fever already and those in the industry are working hard to complete their films as October 26 is fast approaching. Meanwhile, Udhayanidhi Stalin has announced the list of theatres in Chennai where the Suriya-starrer '7aum Arivu' is to be screened.

The film it seems will be screened in several multiplexes including Sathyam, Express Avenue, Inox, Devi complex, Udhyam complex, Abirami 7 star, Sangam, Roopam and PVR three screens in Rakhi. Udhaynidhi has also said that he will be announcing more theatres in the city shortly.

7aum Arivu - Production

Initially Suriya was reported to play three characters; a circus artist, a scientist and a Buddhist monk, set in China in the 14th century. However, later reports denied the presence of a scientist in the film, with Vietnamese actor Johnny Tri Nguyen being signed to play the antagonist, and Kannada actor Avinash being chosen for the role of Suriya's father. A group of 1000 junior artists were alloted for a song which claimed to be the highlight of the film.  A stunt sequence which involved shooting at Binny Mills at Perambur, Chennai forced the hero take a 3 day rest due to an ankle injury. The first schedule of the film was completed in China, and afterwards a shot was taken in the Ampa Skywalk Mall in Chennai with another one in Besant Nagar, a zone in Chennai. Suriya trained to get a six pack abs for a Kung Fu sequence within 16 days, following cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran's request.

7aum Arivu - Soundtrack

The soundtrack, composed by Harris Jayaraj, consists of six songs including a Chinese track, sung by Chinese singer Hau. It marks the second collaboration of Harris Jayaraj and A. R. Murugadoss after the success of Ghajini. Lyrics were penned by Madhan Karky. The audio rights of the album were bagged by Sony Music reportedly for a whopping amount. The composition of the soundtrack took place in Singapore. The audio was released on September 22, 2011 in Chennai Trade Centre in a grand manner, with actors including Dhanush, Karthi and Ram Charan Teja attending the function.
